We have an urgent requirement at the Leadership level position with one of the well-known company specializing in delivering high-quality remanufactured electronic devices with precision and reliability.
Location: Dubai UAE
Role Description:
The Head of Remanufacturing will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the companys re-manufacturing repair and assembly operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient cost-effective and high-quality production of our refurbished smartphone (and other adjacent products) business. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process from raw material procurement to finished product shipment while driving continuous improvement and innovation. The candidate will oversee the stabilization and scaling of a new factory in Dubai and integrate the operations with other similar operations in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing repair and assembly strategy aligned with the companys objectives.
- Oversee the manufacturing process including planning scheduling production quality control and logistics.
- Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency reduce costs and improve product quality.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive process improvements yield enhancement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.
- Build and lead a high-performance manufacturing team.
- Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate brings in a minimum of 15 years of experience and has a proven record in manufacturing sector leadership. The candidate will possess deep expertise in manufacturing processes supply chain management and quality control - preferably in the consumer electronics or high-tech sector.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering operations management or a related field; a masters degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles with a proven track record of delivering results.
- Plant manufacturing/assembly unit leadership in relevant companies
- Demonstrated ability to build lead and develop high-performance teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Experience in managing complex supply chains and global manufacturing operations.
- Proven ability to drive operational excellence and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in business administration or a related field (optional).
- Experience in the smartphone or consumer electronics industry.
- Knowledge of automation and robotics in manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP and supply chain management systems.
