Role Description Summary: We are seeking a Senior SQL Architect & Developer with deep expertise in SQL development and database architecture to ensure optimal performance for a highly SQL-driven application. The role focuses on designing scalable database structures writing and optimizing complex SQL code and implementing architectural strategies that directly impact system performance. The ideal candidate will combine advanced SQL programming skills with strong knowledge of performance tuning indexing and query optimization while also ensuring reliability security and best practices in database design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database architectures optimized for high-performance transactional and analytical workloads.

• Develop complex SQL queries stored procedures functions and triggers for core application logic.

• Analyze and optimize existing SQL code to improve performance and reduce resource consumption.

• Define indexing partitioning and data distribution strategies to ensure scalability.

• Collaborate with application developers to design efficient database interactions and minimize performance bottlenecks.

• Conduct query execution plan analysis and implement tuning strategies.

• Establish best practices for SQL development code reviews and performance standards.

• Implement and maintain HA/DR solutions and ensure database reliability.

• Monitor database performance and proactively resolve performance issues.

• Document database design coding standards and optimization guidelines.

Expertise & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Expert in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries stored procedures and functions.

• Strong understanding of query execution plans indexing strategies and performance tuning.

• Experience designing database schemas with scalability in mind.

• Proficient in normalization denormalization and partitioning strategies.

• Skilled in diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks in large-scale systems.

• Hands-on experience with SQL Server (2016) Azure SQL or equivalent RDBMS.

• Knowledge of HA/DR solutions backup/restore strategies and database reliability practices.

• Proficiency in CI/CD for database changes version control (Git) and automation.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Mentor mid-level team members and enforce coding and design standards

• Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
