Job Summary
The General Manager Sales is responsible for leading the sales team developing and executing sales strategies and achieving revenue targets within the UAE market. This role involves managing key accounts building strong relationships with clients and staying updated on market trends to capitalize on business opportunities. You have to be familiar with retail and or food service industries.
Main Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy Development
- Formulate and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Analyze sales data competition and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
2. Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and motivate the sales team providing guidance coaching and performance feedback.
- Set clear sales targets and monitor the teams progress towards achieving them.
- Inspire the sales team to consistently exceed sales targets.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decisionmakers at institutional sales distributors and retailers.
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
4. Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities including potential clients and market segments.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts agreements and terms with clients.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
5. Forecasting and Budgeting
- Develop and execute datadriven sales plans to maximize revenue and market share ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets making adjustments as necessary.
6. Product Knowledge and Training
- Stay updated on industry trends market conditions competitor activity and product knowledge.
- Provide training and support to the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills.
7. Market Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Prepare regular reports for management on sales performance market trends and competitor activities.
8. Compliance and Documentation
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations standards and quality control measures.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of sales activities contracts and customer interactions.
9. CrossFunctional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. operations marketing supply chain) to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and meet customer expectations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales management preferably in the UAE market and food/meat industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth within retail/food service industries
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and market trends.
