Job Summary
In partnership with our client a diversified business group based in the UAE we are seeking a Legal Manager to lead the in-house legal function provide strategic legal counsel and ensure the business operates with full compliance commercial clarity and strong governance across all its verticals. If you are a seasoned legal professional with deep commercial law expertise and the leadership presence to match we want to meet you.
Who are we looking for
- You are a qualified legal professional with over 10 years of experience including at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- You are deeply experienced in corporate and commercial law contract drafting and negotiation and real estate and property transactions.
- You are a strategic thinker who can assess legal risk before it becomes a business problem and provide clear commercially grounded advice to leadership.
- You are an excellent communicator in both English and Arabic able to draft precise legal documents and engage confidently with regulators government bodies and senior stakeholders.
- You are a strong leader who can build and manage an in-house legal team while maintaining high standards of professionalism ethics and delivery.
- You are commercially aware and business-minded understanding that good legal counsel does not just protect the business but enables it to move faster and with greater confidence.
Your Responsibilities
Overall Legal Supervision
- You will lead the in-house legal team developing and implementing the companys legal strategy in alignment with its corporate objectives.
- You will ensure full compliance with applicable government laws and regulations providing strategic legal oversight across all business verticals.
Contracts and Commercial Transactions
- You will review and approve all major contracts including supply distribution partnership and financing agreements ensuring the companys rights are protected and risks are minimised.
- You will develop standardised contract templates that streamline commercial operations and provide consistent legal protection across the business.
Legal Risk Management
- You will assess potential legal risks before any commercial or investment commitment is made providing proactive counsel that protects the business from avoidable exposure.
- You will provide periodic reports to leadership on ongoing legal matters and future risks keeping decision-makers fully informed at all times.
Regulatory Relations
- You will liaise with government authorities and regulatory bodies including the Ministry of Labour Municipality and Department of Economic Development ensuring the business remains compliant and well-positioned with regulators.
- You will monitor new legislation and propose appropriate actions or policy adjustments in response to regulatory changes.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- You will supervise court cases in coordination with external law firms approving litigation or settlement strategies before escalation to management.
Compliance and Governance
- You will develop internal compliance and governance policies including anti-corruption and transparency measures and oversee legal awareness training for employees on key topics including contracts privacy and data protection.

- To be considered for this role you should have
- A law degree with relevant postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications preferred.
- 10 or more years of legal experience with at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven expertise in corporate and commercial law contract drafting and negotiation real estate law and property transactions.
- Knowledge of automobile industry regulations and distribution agreements is a strong advantage.
- Experience in dispute resolution arbitration and litigation management.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic.
