Job Summary:
A Shipping Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end shipping operations ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of goods while complying with international trade regulations. The role requires coordination with freight forwarders customs authorities and internal teams to maintain smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily shipping operations including export and import documentation
- Coordinate with freight forwarders shipping lines and logistics partners
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as Invoice Packing List Bill of Lading Airway Bill etc.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs procedures
- Track shipments and provide real-time updates to clients and internal stakeholders
- Manage customs clearance processes and liaise with clearing agents
- Monitor shipping costs and optimize logistics expenses
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
- Resolve any shipment delays damages or discrepancies efficiently
- Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for smooth dispatch planning
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Commerce or related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in shipping/logistics operations
- Experience in handling international shipments (import/export)
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and INCOTERMS
- Familiarity with customs clearance procedures in UAE
- Proficiency in MS Excel and logistics software/ERP systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
