Job Title: Material Assistant

salary: 2400 AED

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized Material Assistant who supports daily warehouse operations focusing on:

- material handling

-containerization

- transport coordination.

This role ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods and maintains an organized storage environment.

Adherence to safety
standards is paramount in all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with various departments to determine material and supply needs

- Monitor inventory levels and order materials as needed

- Receive inspect and store incoming materials and supplies

- Maintain accurate records of all materials and supplies

- Ensure timely delivery of materials to production teams

- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing and resolve any issues

- Conduct regular inventory checks to identify any discrepancies or shortages

- Monitor and track material usage and waste to identify areas for improvement

- Assist with the development and implementation of inventory management policies and procedures

- Train and supervise junior material assistants as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and storage area

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent;

Bachelors degree in supply chain management or related field preferred

- 3 years of relevant experience in material handling warehouse management related to the Oil & Gas industry

-Proficient in English.

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software

- Knowledge of supply chain processes and inventory control techniques

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Forklift certification is a plus

- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects
