Our client a Robotaxi company with 300-500 employees headquartered in South China is seeking a high-energy Business Development Manager to support the international expansion of our Robotaxi business. This role is designed for someone who understands the overseas mobility ecosystem and can open doors with key stakeholders - especially local government bodies and transport authorities - in markets such as Southeast Asia Singapore and the Middle East.
Employment Type: Full-time permanent
Location: UAE / Singapore / China / Malaysia / Thailand
Compensation: $00 base annually competitive bonus
Key Requirements:
1) Must be physically based in one of the above listed locations.
2) Fluency in at least one relevant local language (e.g. Arabic Mandarin Malay Thai) to engage effectively with government and public-sector stakeholders.
What Youll Do:
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities for the Robotaxi business in target overseas markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies transport authorities regulators and strategic partners.
- Represent the company externally and drive early-stage market engagement partnerships and pilot opportunities.
- Track local policy and regulatory dynamics and translate them into actionable BD strategies.
- Coordinate closely with China-based leadership and cross-functional teams during the onboarding phase and beyond.
- Lead market discovery efforts (stakeholder mapping partner landscape competitor insights) to shape go-to-market priorities.
Requirements
What Youll Bring:
- Previous experience at Uber Grab Didi or similar mobility platforms.
- Strong understanding of international mobility markets and ecosystems in Southeast Asia Singapore or the Middle East.
- Proven ability to quickly establish trust and build networks with public-sector stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
- Background can be Sales Business Development or Product Management as long as it includes external-facing responsibilities and partner engagement.
- Highly proactive ambitious and career-driven; thrives in fast-moving early-stage business environments.
- Comfortable working independently without rigid targets while still delivering measurable progress and momentum.
