Job Description
Stantec is looking to recruit HSE Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
The role involves working on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage Flood Alleviation Wastewater Networks and Water distribution networks Pumping Station Recycling Plant. This will involve undertaking investigations planning designing tendering contract administration and construction supervising & monitoring.
Key accountabilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for site Safety health and environment management.
- Assist with the preparation of a construction health and safety plan.
- Confirm necessary documentation was submitted to the relevant authorities.
- Attend project planning meetings. Attend regular site technical and progress meetings. Facilitate site health and safety meetings.
- Establish and maintain health and safety communication structures and systems distribution of health and safety specific documents to subcontractors.
- Compiling project specific emergency response and preparedness plans
- Testing the effectiveness of the emergency response plans
- Conduct site safety inductions.
- Oversee the reporting and investigation of project related incidents.
- Development of technical reports in relation to health and safety issues and communicate through presentations to diverse groups of decision makers.
- Client Service Management
- Internal and external client liaison
- Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site.
- Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management.
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
- Maintain the health and safety environment at workplace.
- Other duties as requested from time to time by the Resident Engineer
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of work experience in safety role.
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or related subject
from a recognized University. - Certification in NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in SWS water network Infra project is an advantage.
