Adjunct Faculty Position in PhysicsSchool of Arts and Sciences American University of Ras Al Khaimah
The School of Arts and Sciences at American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in Physics for the Spring 2021. We welcome candidates whose teaching employs high-impact teaching practices to promote active learning by students. The adjunct position will be required to cover the sabbatical leave of a faculty member and teach two sections of Electricity and Magnetism. Prior successful teaching experience at the university level employing high-impact educational practices and experience in working effectively with globally diverse student populations are expected.
Required Qualifications:

  • A Doctoral degree in Physics from an accredited institution of higher education
  • University teaching experience
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
