User Experience Designer

The purpose of this position is to serve as an Aluminum Welder and Fabricator for a wide range of construction and repair projects at NEP s Systems Integration facility in Pittsburgh,

• Work from blueprints and instructions from design engineers to layout, measure, mark, and arrange material
  
• Squaring up, welding, cut, grind, and chamber aluminum of different widths and maintaining various geometries of components
  
• Inspect work for accuracy and
  
• Work in coordination with other construction and maintenance personnel (Mechanical, carpentry, paint and electrical) to keep projects on schedule
  
• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment such as hand tool, mill, saws, ;
  
• Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner
  
• Make sure all safety devices are in use and maintain a clean and organized work
  
• Makes small repairs to equipment as required
  
• Maintain inventory of materials, tools and associated fabrication products
  
• Occasionally assist carpentry crew with other aspects of mobile unit trailer fabrication
  
• Moving parts and heavy frames on and off a worktable and throughout the facility
  

Requirements

• 2 years of demonstrated experience welding aluminum and working in a variety of carpentry applications
  
• Ability to ready blueprints, CAD drawings, welding symbols and handwritten notes or sketches
  
• Must have experience working with hands, hand tools, power tools, tape measure, heavy machinery
  
• Must be able to do TIG welding on TIG Certification seen as a plus
  
• Passion for producing a quality product efficiently
  
• A thorough knowledge of carpentry materials and tools
  
• Must be highly conscious
  
• Must be highly motivated, detail oriented, and work in a team environment
  
• Interface and communicate well with supervisor, and facility staff
