Your mission
The Crew Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of crew personnel from sourcing and vetting through contracting onboarding deployment and structured offboarding. The role ensures smooth compliant and scalable crew operations by maintaining standardized processes accurate documentation and clear communication across all stakeholders.
Working in close partnership with the Project Talent Specialist who will have a primary focus on recruitment and onboarding as an equal counterpart within the Project Talent function both roles collaborate to align workforce planning availability and deployment strategies to meet project and operational demands. Together they support and complement each others scope while jointly contributing to a unified talent operations approach both reporting into the Head of Project Talent Unit.
The Crew Manager also oversees the coordination of travel and accommodation logistics ensuring timely and cost-effective crew mobilization. Acting as an internal consultant the role supports business units and project teams in defining requirements planning crew structures and optimizing resource allocation contributing to high personnel standards and continuous process improvement.
Your profile
- Proven experience as a Crew Manager Workforce Manager Resource Manager or in a similar workforce planning role within the live event industry.
- Extensive experience in the event industry is a must with a strong understanding of live events exhibitions experiential projects and large-scale project delivery.
- Proven workforce management experience is essential including project freelance talent planning resource allocation mobilisation scheduling and deployment across multiple concurrent projects.
- Hands-on experience working within both the Middle East (UAE and KSA primarily) or Germany markets is essential with a strong understanding of regional workforce practices compliance requirements and operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full project freelance talent lifecycle including sourcing contracting onboarding mobilisation performance coordination and offboarding.
- Strong knowledge of crew logistics including travel accommodation visa coordination and project mobilisation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across internal teams freelancers suppliers and external partners.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic planning and workforce forecasting capabilities with the ability to anticipate project requirements and optimise resource utilisation.
- Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable with the willingness to work according to the changing demands of a project-based live events environment including travel when required.
