Job Summary

Swimming Pool Operator ensures the safety cleanliness and chemical balance of swimming facilities by testing water quality maintaining filtration systems and adhering to health regulations. Daily duties include checking chlorine/pH levels cleaning and repairing pumps and heaters. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is typically required:
Key Responsibilities
Water Chemistry Management: Regularly test and adjust chlorine and pH levels to comply with health standards.
Maintenance & Technical Repairs: Inspect and maintain pool pumps heaters and filtration systems to prevent shutdowns.
Cleaning: Vacuum skim and brush pool surfaces and clean deck areas restrooms and adjacent facilities.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety rules and ensure the facility adheres to local health department regulations.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed logs of water quality tests chemical additions and maintenance activities.
Equipment Maintenance: Repair paint and maintain pool equipment such as diving boards lane lines and chemical feeders.

Qualifications & Skills
Certification: Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or similar certification is highly preferred or mandatory.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of water chemistry filtration equipment and plumbing/electrical systems.
Physical Ability: Capable of performing manual labor including bending lifting and working in extreme temperatures.
Experience: Previous experience in facility maintenance is often required (e.g. 2 years).
Communication: Ability to work with team members and report to management
