Roles & Responsibilities

Designing and implementing a strong model Risk management and governance framework.
Provide inputs to build risk model through multiple methodologies/ techniques, including statistical methods, scorecards, machine-learning methods, business forecasting methods, etc., and used by various businesses and functions within .
Synchrony to support credit risk, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, pricing and stress testing etc.
Independently handle escalation of issues and dispute with model stakeholders, such as issue action plan, remediation, root cause analysis, and risk acceptance.
Developing and execute test plans to make sure the compliance with regulatory guidelines, analyzing model weaknesses, benchmarking to partnerships results.
Align with risk management on modeling and validation practices and have periodic check-ins on basis of portfolio performance.
Assess the risk profile of partnership/ borrowers and review risk model (BRE & Scorecard parameters). Coordinate UAT status information and highlight risks out of the testing process.
