Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries desserts cakes breads and specialty items using both traditional and innovative techniques.
- Ensure all ingredients meet quality and safety standards with special attention to freshness sourcing and proper handling of dairy (e.g. milk) and other key components.
- Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards and hygiene protocols in all aspects of preparation storage and service.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting recipe enhancements cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies.
- Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies ensuring timely ordering and minimizing waste.
- Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff providing guidance on techniques safety and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Front-of-House team to align pastry offerings with menu themes and guest preferences.
- Design and execute visually appealing dessert plating and presentation that enhance the overall dining experience.
- Adhere to health safety and sanitation regulations at all times including regular cleaning and equipment maintenance.
- Respond promptly to daily operational demands and support special events banquets and seasonal menu launches.

Requirements
- 13 years of proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards hygiene practices and compliance with local health regulations.
- Proficiency in preparing a wide range of pastries cakes breads confections and dessert items including international and regional specialties.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and create unique marketable dessert concepts that align with current culinary trends.
- Solid understanding of basic baking principles ingredient functionality and recipe scaling.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment with minimal supervision.
- Valid work permit and eligibility to work in the UAE (Filipino or Nepalese nationality preferred).
- Willingness to join immediately and commit to a full-time role in Al Ain.
