The Parts - Power User & Logic Specialist supports the Steam Services Parts & Sourcing function by providing ownership of business rules process logic and tool-specific work instructions across key transactional and reporting processes. This role helps ensure process consistency system stability and effective automation by maintaining logic and documentation for tools such as OSERP Smartsheet and Tableau.The role serves as a first-line subject matter resource for issue resolution user support and coaching while also partnering with operational and IT teams to improve automation effectiveness exception handling and workflow performance. This position is well suited for an individual who is detail-oriented analytically strong and interested in building expertise in process logic governance and continuous improvement.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the design maintenance and governance of business rules and automation logic supporting transactional processes within Steam Services Parts & Sourcing
- Serve as the subject matter expert for process logic exception handling and system behavior across high-volume workflows
- Maintain and update tool-specific work instructions logic documentation and process guidelines for systems including OSERP Smartsheet and Tableau
- Provide first-level issue resolution and user support for process and tool-related questions
- Coach users on process execution tool usage and adherence to defined logic and work instructions
- Review process performance trends and identify opportunities to improve automation effectiveness consistency and scalability
- Define requirements for changes to process logic controls and exception handling in partnership with operational and IT teams
- Support testing validation and implementation of process changes to ensure accurate and stable execution
- Help drive process discipline documentation quality and knowledge transfer across the function
- Partner with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to support operational continuity and delivery performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent relevant experience
- Proven experience in parts sourcing supply chain operations or a related business function
- Proven experience working with process documentation business rules transactional workflows or operational systems
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage process consistency and accuracy
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across operational and functional teams
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with OSERP Smartsheet Tableau or similar business systems and reporting tools
- Familiarity with automation logic exception handling and process controls
- Ability to troubleshoot user issues and provide practical timely support
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Comfortable working in structured processes while identifying opportunities to simplify and improve
- Self-starter with a learning mindset and willingness to grow into deeper subject matter ownership
- Ability to balance day-to-day support with longer-term process improvement activities
