Job Summary
Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components assemblies and systems according to project specifications.
Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks CATIA).
Conduct feasibility studies tolerance analysis and design calculations to ensure product reliability and performance.
Collaborate with production quality and R&D teams to ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
Review and modify designs based on test results client feedback and cost optimization.
Prepare technical documentation including design reports BOMs (Bill of Materials) and manuals.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards safety regulations and company policies.
Support prototype development and testing phases.
Stay updated with the latest engineering trends materials and technologies.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and design team members.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./) or equivalent.
Master s Degree (M.E./) in Mechanical Design/Manufacturing (Preferred).
Skills Required:
Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks CATIA Crew or AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles GD&T and material properties.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining sheet metal casting and welding.
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation tools is an added advantage.
Excellent problem-solving analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
