Job Description
- Job title: Jr Mechanical Draughtsman
- Experience:3-15 Years
- Location: Sharjah United Arab Emirates
- Job Type: Full-time
Must Haves:
- At least 3 years of experience working as a mechanical or MEP draughtsman in the water treatment industry.
- Must be currently working in the water treatment industry.
- Must have skills in AutoCAD P&ID GA and Isometric drawing.
- Must have experience working on STP (sewage treatment plant) projects within the water treatment industry.
- Must be familiar with international standards such as ASME NFPA or IEC
Qualifications:
- Graduation in Mechanical or Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering.
- Above 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman preferably in the water treatment or infrastructure sector.
- Candidate must have experience working in STP plants
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit Navisworks or BIM tools is a plus.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems in water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD Revit or other CAD software based on engineering inputs.
- Interpret and incorporate design changes redlines and markups from engineers.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications industry standards and local codes.
- Coordinate with civil structural and process teams to ensure clash-free designs.
- Maintain drawing documentation and revision control.
- Assist in preparing as-built drawings and documentation for project handover.
- Support site teams with drawing clarifications and updates as needed.
