Job Summary
Job Title: Field Operator
Job Summary
Responsible for carrying out field operations and monitoring plant equipment as per control room instructions to ensure safe and smooth plant operations. The role includes equipment line-up field inspections safe handover of equipment for maintenance maintaining housekeeping standards and supporting plant startup shutdown and emergency handling activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor field equipment in coordination with the control room.
- Set equipment and valve positions as required for process operations.
- Ensure safe isolation and handover of equipment for maintenance activities.
- Monitor plant parameters identify abnormalities and report deviations to Senior Field Operator/Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain field log sheets and operational records.
- Support plant startup shutdown and emergency handling procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping and follow all plant safety and MSDS procedures.
- Contribute towards achieving zero LTI and safe plant operations.
- Act as Senior Field Operator whenever assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Science.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in large Gas-Based DRI Petrochemical or Fertilizer plants.
- Experience in HYL DRI plant operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of P&IDs pumps compressors turbines and plant safety systems.
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Computer literacy with knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Fluent in English.
