OHL DESIGN REVIEW ENGINEER

Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering

Previous experience of minimum 10-15 Years as Consultant / EPC is required

Experience in Substation Projects - 132kV 220kV & 400kV Level.

Job Description

• Should have knowledge of all relevant standards and guidelines i.e. TRANSCO OETC ADDC SEC and KSA standards including the Grid Codes IEC IEEE International guidelines etc.
• Capable to conduct site survey and preparation of design documents (concept design) which includes route drawings.
• Prepare requisitions and technical evaluation of bids for discipline material and equipment procurement
• Identifying evaluating and resolving Electrical Engineering issues during the EPC phase.
• Review and approve within the specified approval durations the EPC Contractor key deliverables and other works within the OHL discipline ensuring compliance with OHL design requirements
• Carry out calculations & studies required to finalize OHL equipment specifications and review of calculations specifications plans investigations surveys structures system or equipment with relatively few complex features.
• Carry out Tower Spotting by using PLS CADD and its review.
• Review and approve key design documents from Vendors equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors and prepare comments and recommendations incorporating any comments received from the Owner.
• Supervise and manage the review and approval of EPC Contractor s work ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications relevant codes and standards and industry best practices.
• Coordinate other discipline Engineers participation in layout reviews design reviews and technical workshops.
• Review and approve of FAT Reports SAT Procedures Method Statements etc.
• Capable to attend Equipment FAT virtually.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline Engineers.
