Job Summary
Construction Manager Civil (Substation Projects)
Role Overview:
Lead and manage all civil construction activities for HV/EHV substation projects (e.g. 132kV / 220kV / 400kV) ensuring execution in line with project specifications timelines budget and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end civil works including foundations control building cable trenches equipment plinths and road works.
- Review IFC drawings method statements and ensure compliance with DEWA/SEWA/ADDC standards.
- Plan monitor and control site execution as per baseline and recovery schedules.
- Coordinate with engineering procurement and MEP teams for seamless project delivery.
- Manage subcontractors site engineers and workforce productivity.
- Ensure QA/QC compliance inspections and documentation as per project requirements.
- Enforce HSE standards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Track project progress prepare reports and highlight risks or delays with mitigation plans.
- Liaise with clients consultants and authorities for approvals and inspections.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 1015 years of experience in substation construction (HV/EHV projects).
- Strong knowledge of substation civil infrastructure and utility standards.
- Experience with DEWA/SEWA/TRANSCO projects is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale site operations and teams.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
