Job Summary
Our client is building a crypto-native trading platform powered by AI and modern market infrastructure. The goal is simple - create scalable high-performance systems that can support sophisticated participants across global markets. They are now seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the design architecture and execution of this platform from the ground up.
Role Overview
The CTO will define and execute the companys technology strategy across blockchain systems AI-native product architecture and high-performance trading infrastructure.
This is a hands-on executive role suited to a builder - someone who has architected and scaled complex real-time financial or market-based systems and who understands how to orchestrate AI agents and autonomous systems within production-grade environments.
The ideal candidate has deep experience across crypto and Web3 infrastructure has built or led advanced trading systems and understands mechanism design and market dynamics in digitally native environments.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Strategy & Architecture
- Define and execute long-term technology vision aligned with product and business objectives
- Architect scalable secure high-availability systems for real-time market environments
- Design hybrid architectures spanning centralized matching engines and decentralized settlement layers
- Lead technical decisions across blockchain protocols AI infrastructure and cloud architecture
AI & Agentic Systems Leadership
- Architect and oversee AI-native systems leveraging autonomous coding agents and LLM-driven orchestration
- Design multi-agent frameworks for market modeling automated strategy execution and decision support
- Evaluate and integrate LLM infrastructure across edge cloud and fallback tiers
- Ensure production-grade reliability observability and cost-optimized inference architecture
Blockchain & Digital Asset Infrastructure
- Lead smart contract architecture and protocol design (EVM and/or alternative ecosystems)
- Oversee token mechanics settlement layers and on-chain/off-chain coordination
- Implement secure upgrade-safe smart contract patterns
- Ensure compliance-aligned infrastructure in regulated or semi-regulated environments
Trading & Market Infrastructure
- Architect low-latency high-throughput trading systems
- Design matching engines auction systems or alternative market mechanisms
- Oversee order management pricing logic and risk controls
- Ensure scalability across global liquidity environments
Engineering Leadership
We are looking for a technically elite founder-type CTO with:
- 15 years of engineering experience including deep systems-level development
- Proven experience building trading platforms exchanges auction systems or real-time financial infrastructure
- Strong blockchain background - Solidity Rust Web3 integrations on-chain settlement logic
- Experience designing hybrid centralized/decentralized architectures
- Demonstrated experience working with AI-native or agentic engineering environments
- Deep understanding of distributed systems caching concurrency and data modelling
- Experience operating in regulated financial environments is advantageous
- Prior founder or early-stage startup experience strongly preferred
Technical Environment (Indicative)
- Smart Contracts - Solidity Rust (Anchor) EVM ecosystems
- Backend - TypeScript C# Rust or similar
- Frontend - React / modern web frameworks
- Cloud - AWS / Azure
- Data - SQL NoSQL Redis
- AI Stack - LLM orchestration embedding models inference routing multi-provider integration
