Business Unit Leader Apparels (Mens/Ladies/Kidswear) MENA

A large multinational supplier with a turnover of $250M is seeking a talented Business Unit Leader to develop and lead their Middle East and North Africa business. The mandate of the role is to grow their MENA market across GCC countries.

The role is to develop the market from scratch. The business has an administrative office in Dubai. Their market presence in the Middle East is negligible. They are seeking a talented leader to build the business up.

About the Business

My client is a multiproduct global supplier. They source from 100 factories across Asia Turkey and North Africa selling apparel accessories footwear and home products to retailers in the US and Europe mainly.

Business Unit Leader: The Role

The key responsibilities for the role include

• Lead the Business Development for the MENA market
  
• Manage and grow existing accounts
  
• Work closely with buyers on product development and concept
  
• Work closely with design and technical teams
  
• Work heavily with factories and managing the critical path ensuring timely deliveries
  
• Present new ideas and product concepts to buyers and closing new orders
  
• Building strong relationships and identifying gaps in the market
  

Requirements

Business Unit Leader: The Person

The ideal candidate will be someone who

• has a strong network of buyer contacts in the MENA region
  
• has a successful track record of delivering orders
  
• can work with remote merchandising and production teams
  
• work independently with minimal supervision
  

The person can be based anywhere in the Middle East. It will be remote to start with. A new office will be set up once there is traction.
