- Prepare examine and analyse accounting records financial statements and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Manage day-to-day accounting processes including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities for process improvement and generating reports that inform sales strategy and growth objectives.
- Apply selling skills by presenting financial solutions and insights to internal stakeholders and assisting in pricing strategies for client proposals.
- Facilitate communication between finance sales and other business units to promote financial transparency and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Collaborate with auditors regulatory bodies and management to ensure the integrity of financial data and adherence to statutory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex financial problems investigating discrepancies and proposing practical solutions in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date accurate and comprehensive financial documentation assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards procedures and financial reporting systems.
- Demonstrates effective selling skills capable of communicating value and financial insights to a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and accessible manner.
- Proficiency with accounting software spreadsheets and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities identifying root causes and delivering effective solutions under tight deadlines.
- Highly organised with a meticulous attention to detail balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Accountancy Finance Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a technical accounting role with a record of supporting business growth and commercial initiatives.
- Proactive and resourceful with the confidence to address challenges and improve existing processes.
- Strong problem-solving focus thriving when addressing complex accounting issues or supporting sales initiatives.
