Sustainability Manager

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy for Ras Al Khaimah, aligning with national and international sustainability goals (global benchmarks and best practices).
• Develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives that support the social, environmental, cultural and economic sustainability objectives of RAK.
• Define clear implementation plans, performance metrics and ROI’s for each sustainability initiative.
• Develop ways to comprehensively track progress and engage partners at each stage of implementing sustainability initiative.
• Continuously monitor, assess, and update sustainability goals and objectives.
• Foster positive relationships between private entities and local communities.
• Identify ways to educate and train key internal and external stakeholders on the importance and criticality of meeting the Emirates sustainability targets.
• Stay up to date with relevant regulations and standards related to sustainability.
• Prepare comprehensive budgets associated with plans and initiatives driven by sustainability targets.
• Develop reports showcasing the return on investment and financial trends linked to sustainability and share with internal stakeholders on a periodic basis.

What you'll need to succeed

• Emirati with a Family Book
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability management or a similar role.
• Familiarity with relevant local and international sustainability standards and policies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent negotiator with proven skills in relationship building.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results within budget and timeline constraints.
• Strong innovative, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for sustainability and driving positive change.
• High-level of sustainability knowledge and expertise in sustainability management and reporting, environment management systems and environmental performance, occupational health along with safety management systems and performance
• Strong judgment and high degree of personal ethics, integrity and accountability
