The Elevator/Escalator Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on elevator and escalator systems in accordance with company standards. This includes mechanical adjustments fault diagnosis and use of test equipment while ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Carry out preventive maintenance measurements and mechanical adjustments on elevator/escalator components such as car and landing doors brake linings etc.
Efficiently execute maintenance troubleshooting and repair tasks as per company standards.
Use hand tools measurement devices ammeters voltmeters and elevator diagnostic tools; experience in testing and commissioning preferred.
Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams; locate malfunctioning components like brakes motors switches and control systems using test equipment.
Proactively identify and replace parts before failure to prevent breakdowns.
Attend multiple breakdowns and perform tasks under pressure.
Adhere to all Sigma safety guidelines and report non-conformities to the Line Manager.
Requirements
Higher Secondary education from an accredited institution
Trade school and/or diploma in electrical or mechanical course (advantageous)
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technician in the same industry
UAE experience and driving license (advantages)
Customer relationship skills
Strong analytical and technical knowledge
