We are seeking a Western-trained Consultant Pediatric Endocrinologist to join a leading tertiary healthcare provider in the UAE. The role involves delivering advanced patient-centered endocrine care for children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary international-standard environment.
This position is ideal for consultants with a strong clinical background subspecialty expertise and a commitment to excellence in pediatric endocrine disorders.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive diagnosis and management of pediatric endocrine conditions including:
Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Growth disorders (short stature GH deficiency)
Thyroid disorders
Puberty disorders (precocious/delayed puberty)
Obesity and metabolic syndromes
Adrenal and pituitary disorders
Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary clinics (e.g. diabetes obesity genetic/endocrine syndromes)
Manage inpatient and outpatient caseloads with high clinical autonomy
Participate in on-call coverage as per hospital policy
Supervise and mentor junior physicians and allied healthcare professionals
Contribute to clinical governance audits and quality improvement initiatives
Engage in teaching training and (if applicable) clinical research
Qualifications & Requirements
Western Board Certification is mandatory such as:
American Board of Pediatrics (Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty)
Royal College of Physicians
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Royal Australasian College of Physicians
Completion of accredited fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology
Minimum 35 years post-board experience at Consultant level
Eligibility for UAE medical licensure:
Dubai Health Authority / Department of Health Abu Dhabi / Ministry of Health and Prevention UAE
Proven experience in managing complex endocrine cases in a hospital or tertiary care setting
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
