Role Overview:
Orbit ISS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dimensional Control Surveyor with a strong background in mechanical fabrication and offshore projects. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in dimensional control surveying for oil & gas offshore wind and shipbuilding projects with proficiency in specialized software and surveying equipment. The role requires precision adaptability and the ability to perform effectively in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional control surveys in mechanical fabrication yards offshore platforms shipyards and conversion projects.
- Ensure accuracy in structural alignment installation and fabrication processes to meet engineering and client specifications.
- Utilize Leica Total Stations (TS-15 & TS-16) and other precision instruments for surveying and measurement tasks.
- Apply advanced dimensional control techniques using Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD software.
- Generate accurate survey reports documentation and as-built drawings for project handover.
- Collaborate with engineers project managers and QA/QC teams to resolve dimensional discrepancies.
- Support offshore wind field projects with dimensional verification and installation accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with health safety and quality standards during all survey activities.
- Work under high-pressure conditions while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Contribute to project planning by providing dimensional input for fabrication and installation stages.
Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mechanical fabrication yard as a Dimensional Controller.
- Strong background in oil & gas and offshore wind field projects.
- Preferably experienced in offshore platforms shipbuilding and conversion projects.
- Proficient in Spatial Analyzer and AutoCAD.
- Hands-on experience with Leica Total Stations (TS-15 & TS-16).
- Physically and mentally flexible to perform under high-pressure environments.
