Accountant & Bookkeeper $3000$4500 USD/month Fully Remote
Location: Fully remote you can be based anywhere in the world
Hours: Flexible at least 3 hours overlap with UK GMT or US EST
Salary: $3000$4500 USD/month
Contract: Full-time permanent
About the company
Remote World is partnering with a UK-based accounting practice to hire for this role. They manage bookkeeping and management accounts for a portfolio of UK SME clients and need a reliable accountant to support the team.
The role
Youll handle day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of UK clients transaction coding bank reconciliation VAT preparation and monthly management accounts. Youll work closely with senior accountants and be the person who keeps the books clean.
What youll do
- Code and categorise transactions in Xero or QuickBooks
- Reconcile bank accounts weekly and resolve discrepancies
- Process sales invoices purchase invoices and expense claims
- Support VAT return preparation and filing
- Prepare monthly management accounts for senior review
What youll need
- Solid double-entry bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency in Xero QuickBooks or Sage
- Accurate and deadline-driven
- Good written English for client-facing work
Nice to have
- ACCA ACA CIMA or studying towards any of these
- Experience with UK VAT and payroll
- Background in an accounting practice environment
