About the company
Remote World is partnering with a US-based localisation and content agency to hire for this role. They translate marketing legal and editorial content for clients expanding into MENA markets and need a skilled bilingual translator.
The role
Youll translate and localise content between Arabic and English maintaining accuracy natural tone and cultural nuance across a wide range of content types. Youll deliver translations that read as if written natively in the target language.
What youll do
- Translate marketing copy UX strings and editorial content between Arabic and English
- Localise idioms and cultural references for the target audience
- Proofread and quality-check translations produced by other team members
- Maintain glossaries and translation memories in CAT tools
- Liaise with clients to clarify ambiguous source material
What youll need
- Native or near-native Arabic and fluent English
- Strong sense of tone you translate meaning and register not just words
- Reliable and deadline-driven
- Comfortable working with brand style guides
Nice to have
- Experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados memoQ or Phrase)
- Background in marketing legal or technical translation
- Degree in translation linguistics or a related field
