Job Summary
Oversee civil construction projects from planning to completion.
- Lead and manage civil construction projects from concept to closeout including planning design coordination scheduling and execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations environmental standards and local state and federal codes.
- Coordinate with engineers contractors architects and stakeholders to align project goals and resolve technical challenges.
- Monitor project progress manage timelines and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays or risks.
- Oversee budgeting cost control and resource allocation to ensure financial accountability.
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews to maintain construction standards.
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Requirements
Civil Background
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing civil construction projects preferably in infrastructure transportation or utility sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera P6) and CAD/BIM software.
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Valid professional engineering license (PE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in dynamic environments with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Required Skills:
Engineer Certified Proven experience with Oracle ERP systems in a construction or project management environment Strong organizational and documentation management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline-driven setting Proficiency in project lifecycle administration and process optimization
