Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Operative to manage all laundry-related tasks within a private villa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling delicate garments maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring all clothing and linens are cleaned pressed and organized to the highest standards of luxury household service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort wash dry press and fold clothing linens and household fabrics
- Handle delicate and high-value garments with care including handwashing when required
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washing machines dryers and steam irons
- Ensure proper use of detergents and cleaning chemicals suitable for different fabric types
- Inspect items for stains and apply appropriate stain removal techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times
- Manage wardrobe organization including hanging folding and storing garments properly
- Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages
- Follow specific instructions and preferences of the household regarding garment care
- Ensure confidentiality and discretion at all times when working in a private residence
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Laundry Operative preferably in a private household or luxury hotel
- Diploma High School or bachelors degree is acceptable.
- Knowledge of fabric types garment care and stain removal techniques
- Ability to operate industrial and domestic laundry equipment
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good time management and ability to work independently
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods
- Basic communication skills in English
- Trustworthy discreet and professional demeanor.
- Willing to live in the villa.
- Willing to work in Abu Dhabi.
Required Skills:
Certification as a Barista Trainer from a recognized institution. Minimum of 2 years of experience in barista training especially in 5-star hotels. Strong skills and expertise in coffee making and mixology. Proficient in Arabic and English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students. Experience in developing and delivering training programs. Passion for coffee and the hospitality industry.
