Job Summary
Job Title: Quality Engineer (QA/QC Mechanical / Oil & Gas)
Job Summary
A competent Quality Engineer is required to oversee QA/QC activities for mechanical works in Oil & Gas projects. The role involves ensuring compliance with international standards project specifications and client requirements across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) as per project and company standards
- Conduct inspections for mechanical works including piping structural welding and equipment installation
- Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITP) Method Statements and Quality Procedures
- Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with clients consultants and third-party inspectors for inspections and approvals
- Perform material inspections and verify compliance with technical specifications
- Maintain QA/QC documentation reports and records in line with project requirements
- Identify non-conformities (NCRs) recommend corrective actions and track closure
- Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits
- Ensure adherence to international codes and standards such as ASME API ASTM ISO
- Support project teams in achieving quality targets and continuous improvement
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 48 years of experience in QA/QC within Oil & Gas / EPC projects
- Experience working in Middle East projects (preferred)
