We are seeking an experienced Senior Technician specialising in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to carry out inspections on aero engine parts in accordance with approved methods regulatory requirements and industry standards. The role involves supporting test technique selection ensuring compliance and guiding Level 2 personnel where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform NDT Inspections (60%)
Conduct NDT inspections on engine components using approved techniques
Apply FPI MPI ET UT or related methods as required
Collaborate with supervisors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Execute inspection tasks accurately to ensure error-free results
Technique Selection and Compliance (30%)
Select appropriate NDT techniques based on part type and inspection criteria
Interpret standards and specifications for practical real-world application
Prepare or modify test instructions for specific conditions
Train and guide Level 2 personnel in correct NDT practices
Quality Assurance and Compliance (10%)
Ensure inspection publications and manuals are up to date
Support calibration of precision tools and equipment
Maintain good housekeeping within the NDT shop
Minimum Requirements
Associate vocational or technical qualification in Aviation Aeronautical Engineering MRO or related field
Bachelors degree preferred
PCN Level II certification according to EN4179/NAS 410 (or equivalent)
3 to 5 years of NDT experience in an aviation MRO environment

Advanced hands-on skills in FPI MPI UT ET and related NDT techniques
Strong understanding of inspection principles equipment use and test application
Systematic and methodological approach to inspection tasks
Communication Skills
Ability to clearly communicate inspection findings and updates
Able to explain complex techniques in a simple instructional manner
Supports knowledge transfer and team learning
Compliance and Standardization
Strong understanding of NDT standards and specifications
Ability to apply standards practically to various part configurations
Experience preparing or adapting written test instructions
Training and Guiding
Ability to train and guide Level 2 personnel in correct NDT practices
Encourages knowledge sharing and facilitates skill development
Provides constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
