Core Procurement Skills:

Sourcing and Supplier Selection:
- Identifying and selecting reliable suppliers who can meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Conducting supplier evaluations and assessments, considering factors such as reputation, financial stability, and production capabilities.
- Building a supplier database and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality goods.

Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best possible deal for the company.
- Drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts, including service-level agreements (SLAs) and performance-based contracts.
- Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.

Cost Control and Budget Management:
- Managing procurement budgets and ensuring that all purchasing activities stay within financial limits.
- Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and optimizing procurement spending while maintaining quality standards.
- Developing strategies for purchasing in bulk, negotiating discounts, and maximizing savings.

Inventory Management:
- Overseeing inventory levels to ensure that products are ordered in a timely manner and stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborating with inventory and warehouse teams to manage supply levels and avoid overstocking or stockouts.
- Implementing just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems or other methods to reduce inventory costs.

Risk Management:
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with suppliers, market volatility, and procurement processes.
- Developing contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, or delays.
- Monitoring supplier performance to ensure that risks related to quality, lead times, or financial stability are minimized.

Procurement Strategy and Planning:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Analyzing market trends and understanding supply chain dynamics to forecast future procurement needs.
- Collaborating with other departments (e.g., finance, operations) to align procurement goals with organizational priorities.
Desired candidate profile
- JOB PURPOSE:
- Responsible for and plans, organizes and manages the procurement process for RLNG Project
- Ability to fit purchase into project ecosystem besides maintaining freight and supply chain costs
- Managing diverse procurement activities and aligning with design engineering
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with direct reports, senior management, vendors, other support groups and project team members.
- Review of all purchase orders and contracts
- Ensuring accuracy and adequacy of purchasing/contracts negotiation and supply chain administration activities
- Fulfillment of various supply chain requirements relating to project performance
- Timeliness, accuracy and adequacy of problem identification, status reporting and corrective actions
- Negotiation of T&C, Prices and Vendor Management
- Coordination with expediting and project management teams during project execution to maintain on-time material delivery and supply
- QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
- 20+ years of diverse experience Procurement Management including at least 5 years’ experience in Procurement including at least 10 years of experience focused on Procurement, in the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industry.
