1. Exceptional Customer Service

4. Housekeeping and Maintenance Skills
- Household Management: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the home or hotel suite, ensuring that everything is in top condition.
- Maintenance Supervision: Supervise maintenance workers, ensuring that repairs and general upkeep are completed on time and to high standards.
- Stock Management: Manage household supplies, from toiletries to food and beverages, and ensure that they are well-stocked and maintained.
5. Event Planning and Coordination
- Event Setup and Execution: Assist with the planning, preparation, and coordination of private events, dinner parties, or gatherings, ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
- Table Setting and Etiquette: Set tables according to formal dining standards, ensuring the proper arrangement of silverware, glasses, and plates.
- Guest Reception: Greet and manage guests during events, ensuring they are comfortable and have everything they need.
6. Culinary Skills
- Food and Beverage Service: Assist with the preparation and serving of meals, beverages, and snacks, either by preparing dishes yourself or coordinating with a chef.
- Wine and Beverage Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of wine pairings, beverage options, and the ability to serve drinks with precision and elegance.
- Cooking and Menu Planning: In some cases, butlers may assist with cooking or planning simple meals, ensuring that dietary preferences and restrictions are followed.
7. Technology Proficiency
- Smart Home Systems: Familiarity with modern technology, including smart home systems, entertainment, and communication tools, to enhance the client experience.
- Booking Systems: Manage appointments, reservations, and schedules through digital platforms and booking systems as necessary.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues with household technology, such as entertainment systems, climate control, or lighting, when needed.
8. Physical Stamina
- Active and Engaged: Butlers are often on their feet for extended periods, performing various tasks, so physical stamina and energy are essential.
- Flexibility: Ability to adjust to changing schedules and demands, often working long hours or irregular shifts to accommodate guests or the principal's needs.
Desired candidate profile
The Butler will anticipate as well as collect all data pertaining to guest preference and needs throughout their stay. The butler will ensure the suite is prepared and ready as per guest requirements prior to arrival as well as greet the guest at the Porte Cochere, extending a warm and personalized welcome and escort the guest directly to the suite. The butler will carry out in room check in and attend to guest luggage and belongings as per guest preference. The butler will handle and prepare guest dry cleaning or laundry a well as prepare guest agenda or schedule including reservations, activities and other and communicate to other departments accordingly.
About You
You have a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality management or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of butler experience and strong team playing skills, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, a positive attitude, with a strong command of English, being a strategic thinker with a creative flair.
