Product Research & Sourcing: Conduct extensive research to identify the latest trends in kids furniture focusing on safety durability and design. Establish a vendor base for sourcing highquality childfriendly products.
Safety & Quality Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with local and international safety standards for children s furniture. Regularly audit suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with international and local suppliers ensuring timely deliveries and favourable terms. Negotiate contracts pricing and payment terms.
Inventory & Order Management: Manage the ordering process for kids furniture items. Monitor inventory levels to ensure products are available to meet customer demand and seasonal fluctuations.
Pricing Strategy & Margin Management: Establish and maintain competitive pricing while ensuring acceptable profit margins. Collaborate with the finance team to monitor cost structures.
Market Intelligence & Trend Analysis: Monitor the kids furniture market to ensure the product range is relevant to changing customer demands. Track competitor offerings and adjust product lines accordingly.
Product Launch & Promotion: Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies for new product launches. Work with marketing teams to create promotional campaigns and product displays.
Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Business Retail Management or similar fields.
Experience: 46 years of experience in retail buying category management or sourcing in the furniture industry. Prior experience in kids furniture or similar categories is preferred.
Strong knowledge of kids furniture including design functionality and safety standards.
Experience in vendor negotiation and relationship management.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess trends pricing and market demands.
Knowledge of product life cycles and order management.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
