ROLE SUMMARY
The Associate Business Development Manager in the retail sector focusing on hypermarkets and supermarkets is responsible for supporting the growth and expansion efforts of the business. This role involves assisting in market research client relationship management and the execution of strategies to enhance the companys presence in the retail market. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the retail industry with a particular focus on largescale formats such as hypermarkets and supermarkets. ROLE PROFILE
Role Details Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
1. Conduct market research specific to the hypermarket and supermarket sectors identifying trends consumer behavior and competitive activity.
2. Analyze data to provide insights that inform business development strategies and expansion plans.
3. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate research findings to the Business Development Manager and senior leadership.
Support in Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
1. Assist in identifying potential clients partners and new business opportunities within the retail sector.
2. Support the Business Development Manager in managing relationships with existing clients ensuring their needs are met and exploring opportunities for growth.
3. Participate in client meetings site visits and presentations contributing to discussions and negotiations.
Sales & Revenue Support:
1. Collaborate with the sales team to assist in lead generation qualification of prospects and preparation of proposals tailored to the hypermarket and supermarket segments.
Expansion Strategy & Project Support:
1. Assist in the execution of expansion plans including the opening of new hypermarket and supermarket locations.
2. Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to support the launch of new stores ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
3. Provide logistical and administrative support for expansion projects including documentation scheduling and communication with stakeholders.
Brand Development & Marketing Collaboration:
1. Collaborate with the marketing team to support brandbuilding initiatives within the retail sector.
2. Help implement marketing campaigns that target hypermarket and supermarket customers tracking effectiveness and gathering feedback.
3. Assist in developing customer engagement strategies that enhance the shopping experience and build brand loyalty.
Financial Analysis & Budgeting Support:
1. Assist in preparing and managing budgets for business development activities within the retail sector.
2. Track expenses and provide regular updates on budget performance ensuring alignment with financial goals.
3. Analyze financial data related to sales and expansion efforts contributing to forecasts and performance reviews.
Professional Development & Learning:
1. Actively participate in training and development opportunities to build expertise in business development and the retail industry.
2. Stay updated on industry trends market dynamics and best practices in the hypermarket and supermarket sectors.
3. Seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members to enhance skills and contribute effectively to the teams objectives.
