Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Art Editor to join our editorial team. Reporting to the Art Director you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and production of the magazine. This role demands a blend of creativity technical skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines while upholding the brands editorial integrity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creative Initiative: Take the initiative to contribute ideas and collaborate with a small team to meet tight editorial and commercial deadlines.
- Design and Production: Utilize your proficiency in InDesign Illustrator and Photoshop to design layouts and produce highquality magazine content.
- Editorial Integrity: Ensure all designs and layouts adhere to the brand s editorial standards and international guidelines.
- Attention to Detail: Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in all design aspects.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrate an understanding of the regional cultural nuances and requirements in your design approach.
- Media Understanding: Have a solid grasp of the media and marketplace with the ability to think creatively and innovate beyond traditional parameters.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with InDesign Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Strong understanding of editorial design and layout.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Sensitivity to cultural considerations in the design process.
- Creative thinking with a passion for media and a willingness to push creative boundaries.
Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Graphic Design Art or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
