IT Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Consultant to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 23 years of handson experience with a strong background in IT infrastructure networking and application support. This role requires someone who can work independently and is comfortable moving between production and lab departments wearing coveralls and safety shoes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management: Administer LAN/WAN/Internet networks troubleshoot issues and liaise with internal support teams or external vendors/ISPs to ensure smooth operations.
• Project Support: Provide IT input for factory/office projects ensuring that IT infrastructure meets business requirements.
• EndUser Support: Assist endusers by troubleshooting IT systems and software and managing caretaker tickets.
• Vendor Coordination: Work with IT vendors on the installation and troubleshooting of systems devices and components to support daily business operations.
• Incident Management: Oversee and resolve incidents events and service requests in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
• Contract Compliance: Ensure maintenance contracts and licenses are uptodate and compliant through regular reviews.
• System Maintenance: Maintain existing application systems workflows and databases by following business requirements and proposing efficient solutions.
• Training & Development: Conduct training on Digital IT tools to ensure they are used effectively and become a source of competitive advantage.
• Project Implementation: Implement local/regional enhancement projects in line with global and regional strategies by developing or integrating new solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 23 years of IT experience particularly in infrastructure networking and application support.
• Experience interacting with endusers onsite; this is not a help desk role.
• Familiarity with Cisco switches routers and other networking equipment.
• Demonstrated experience implementing new technologies.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Advanced skills in MSOffice Power BI and experience in creating apps are preferred.
• Certification in CISCO / Microsoft Power Apps or equivalent is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to various onsite environments.
