Job Description


Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the purchasing of medical supplies, equipment, and services from initial request through delivery.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, and supply agreements with suppliers.
  • Ensure that all purchases adhere to company and industry quality standards and regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and predict future supply needs.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to determine supply needs, quality, and delivery times.
  • Develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce the overall costs of procurement.
  • Resolve issues related to delivered goods, including quantity discrepancies, quality issues, and late deliveries.
  • Stay informed about advancements and changes in the medical supply industry.

Qualifications

  • Preferred education in purchasing, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the medical industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of purchasing strategies and practices.
  • Proven experience with purchase orders, vendor management, and material procurement.
  • Solid understanding of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of medical industry regulations and standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
