Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control and debt collection with excellent communication and negotiation skills. The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing the credit control process ensuring timely payments from customers and minimizing overdue accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor customer accounts and ensure timely payments are received.
Contact customers to collect overdue payments and resolve any payment issues.
Negotiate payment plans with customers who are unable to pay in full.
Review credit limits and terms of payment for new and existing customers.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in customer accounts.
Prepare and send out monthly statements to customers.
Maintain accurate records of all credit control activities.
Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely invoicing and prompt payment from customers.
Provide regular reports to the Finance Manager on the status of customer accounts.
Keep abreast of changes in credit regulations and policies.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit control or debt collection.
Experience in the real estate industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of credit control procedures and regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Good organizational and timemanagement skills.
Fluent in English both written and spoken.
