Assistant Maintenance Manager

• Records and logs all meter readings daily and reports irregularities to the Maintenance Manager
• Regularly inspects plant rooms and guest areas to identify problems. Liaises with contractors as required.
• Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, ensure hotel water systems are properly treated.
• Maintains maintenance logs and records.
• Ensuring the effective operation of all the mechanical and electrical systems and equipment by managing a preventative maintenance program.
• Ensuring the effective financial management of the engineering department by adhering to maintenance budgets, capital works programs and engineering plans.
• Should be familiar with energy consumption calculations & savings.
• Building aspects of the hotel as well as the maintenance of grounds and external facilities.
• Contributing to guest satisfaction standards by ensuring that technical support services quickly address and where possible anticipate individual needs.
• Ensuring technically competent engineering staff is part of the team by selecting, training, and developing a motivated, well-qualified maintenance team.
• Order day-to-day maintenance purchases in accordance with SBC purchasing policy.
• Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, ensure the departmental training plan is implemented.
• Attends such seminars and training courses to further his education as may be necessary.
• Responsible for the multiple beach properties ( SBC , Soul & Kai ), ensuring operational excellence and consistent service quality across all locations.
