Job Description


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Track and monitor order status, communicating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
  • Maintain inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and ensure continuity of supply.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, such as production, finance, and logistics, to coordinate purchasing activities and address any issues or concerns.
  • Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible value for the company.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information in the procurement system or database.
  • Generate reports and analyze data related to purchasing activities, such as spending trends, supplier performance, and cost savings opportunities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new products/services to make informed purchasing decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience working in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using purchasing software or ERP systems for order processing and inventory management.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
