What are we looking for?
- Experience in the design and delivery of population-based health and wellbeing interventions that enhance productivity (workplace or public health experience a plus)
- Well rounded and multi-skilled with good understanding and experience in managing:
- Occupational health & hygiene (exposure to noise, chemicals, temperature, etc.)
- Non-occupation health (site health issues, influence medical benefits design, shiftwork),
- Health & wellbeing initiatives
- Mental health concerns
- Expert knowledge of occupational health protection, worker’s compensation, and workplace health promotion
- Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
- Strong people leadership skills required
- Strong data analysis skills and knowledge translating data into action
- Regional COE level expertise to solve H&WB related problems in partnership with key stakeholders and the business
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Gain support from site/segment leaders for a strategic approach to improving associate health, energy and reducing chronic disease risk factors. Ensures the focus areas/priorities are aligned to the global Mars Be Well Together strategy and secure funding to ensure delivery of the regional/local health and wellbeing agenda.
- Implement processes and initiatives to support the three core pillars: (1) Occupational Health: Identification and management of all occupational health risks. Compliance with all regulatory guidance and Mars occupational health practices. (2) Health Management: Management of non-occupational health risks and rising business costs (e.g., absence management, travel health, risk factors impacting chronic disease, etc.). (3) Wellbeing: Supports the team and stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that support healthy and energized associates and work environments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and/or in a problem-solving capacity with any health, wellbeing, or medical issue elevated by business partners (e.g., HSE, P&O, segment/site leaders) inclusive, but not limited to, associate concerns, site health concerns (e.g., ergonomics, mental health), etc.
- Implement the health & wellbeing strategy with clear service level agreements within the business while monitoring health trends, best practices, and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Lead an integrated team of Occupational Health Nurses, Wellbeing Specialists, and Social Workers to execute the regional priorities successfully.
