In partnership with our client a leading vehicle export business based in the UAE we are seeking a Territory Manager for East Africa and West Africa to drive market expansion build strategic partnerships and deliver against ambitious revenue targets across the assigned regions. Who are we looking for
  • You are an experienced sales and market development professional with 5 to 7 years of experience in automotive sales export sales or international market development.
  • You are deeply knowledgeable about East or West African commercial markets including their regulatory environments trade dynamics and distribution landscapes.
  • You are a relationship builder who knows how to engage government entities institutional clients and distribution partners at the highest level and turn those relationships into long-term revenue.
  • You are commercially sharp with strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive revenue and margins in competitive and complex market environments.
  • You are organised and execution-focused able to translate broad sales objectives into structured territory plans and deliver against them consistently.
  • You are adaptable and culturally aware comfortable navigating different market environments and building trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
Your Responsibilities
Market Development and Regional Growth
  • You will drive market presence across assigned African regions by identifying high-potential opportunities expanding dealership networks and strengthening brand visibility through targeted sales initiatives.
Government and Institutional Relations
  • You will establish and maintain strong trust-based relationships with government entities ministries and public sector organisations to unlock long-term sales opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Tender and Public Sector Engagement
  • You will identify and pursue government tenders fleet contracts and procurement opportunities collaborating with internal teams to prepare competitive and compliant proposals.
Regional Partner and Supply Chain Coordination
  • You will coordinate closely with logistics providers service partners and suppliers to ensure efficient supply chain operations and timely vehicle delivery to clients across your territory.
Market Intelligence and Expansion Support
  • You will gather and analyse market intelligence identify emerging trends and provide actionable insights that support expansion strategies and decision-making for African markets.
Trade Diplomatic and Industry Representation
  • You will represent the business at trade exhibitions business forums and embassy engagements building relationships with trade bodies and diplomatic stakeholders to enhance market access.
Sales Strategy Execution and Performance Reporting
  • You will translate company sales objectives into actionable territory plans track performance metrics monitor dealer activity and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
  • You will ensure all sales activities comply with local regulations import and export requirements and industry standards proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.

  • Consistent achievement and outperformance of regional export sales targets across assigned African territories.
  • A growing and well-managed distribution network with strong dealer and partner relationships that generate reliable repeat revenue.
  • Government and institutional relationships that translate into secured tenders fleet contracts and long-term procurement agreements.
  • Regular structured market intelligence and performance reporting that informs expansion strategy and senior decision-making.
  • Full compliance with local regulations and import and export requirements across all sales activities in the territory.
To be considered for this role you should have
  • A Bachelors degree in Business Marketing or a related field.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in automotive sales export sales or international market development.
  • Demonstrated experience working with African markets with East or West Africa knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales stakeholder management and distribution network development.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue manage margins and negotiate effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems MS Excel and ERP tools for order tracking and coordination.
