- Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Ensure adherence to UAE tax laws including timely filing and reporting of VAT returns.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and maintaining audit-ready records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business planning.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Senior Accountant with 25 years of experience.
Qualification: CA / Inter CA preferred
Strong accounting & financial reporting skills
Experience in trading or similar industry preferred
Good knowledge of VAT & UAE compliance
Ability to work independently
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field Proven experience as a Software Engineer or similar role Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java C or Python Experience with software development tools and methodologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
