Job Title: Commis Chef

Ladurée is a world-famous French luxury pâtisserie established in Paris renowned for its iconic macarons elegant ambiance and refined selection of pastries desserts and café-style dining.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior chefs in the daily preparation and cooking of menu items ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.
• Learn and work across various sections of the kitchen gaining a comprehensive understanding of all culinary functions.
• Adhere strictly to all food hygiene health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Ensure that all ingredients are correctly prepared stored and rotated to minimize waste and maintain freshness.
• Maintain a clean organized and tidy work station at all times.
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications precisely as instructed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
• Contribute positively to the kitchen team demonstrating a collaborative and professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment or a recognized culinary qualification is highly desirable.
• A genuine passion for cooking and a strong desire to build a career in the culinary arts.
• Basic understanding of fundamental cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn from senior chefs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and public holidays.
