Job Summary
Day Wellsite Geologist
Location: Abu Dhabi UAE (Offshore)
We are seeking an experienced Day Wellsite Geologist to support offshore drilling operations in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret geological and drilling data in real time.
- Supervise mudlogging LWD/MWD wireline logging and coring activities.
- Identify formation tops lithology hydrocarbon shows and geological hazards.
- Provide geological recommendations for casing points coring intervals and drilling operations.
- Prepare daily weekly and end-of-well geological reports.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and ADNOC requirements.
- Coordinate with drilling teams service companies and office-based geoscientists.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Geology Geoscience or a related Earth Science discipline (Masters is an advantage).
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Wellsite Geologist on offshore drilling projects.
- Strong experience with offshore exploration carbonate reservoirs and sour gas (HS) environments.
- Familiarity with UAE offshore geology is highly preferred.
- Experience supervising mudlogging LWD/MWD wireline logging and coring operations.
- Strong geological interpretation reporting and communication skills.
- Valid OPITO BOSIET/T-BOSIET certification is an advantage.
