Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including receiving storing picking packing and dispatching goods. The role ensures inventory accuracy maintains a clean and organized warehouse and follows all company safety procedures.
Requirements
- Receive inspect and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock audits.
- Update inventory records using warehouse management systems or Excel.
- Label organize and maintain warehouse stock.
- Keep the warehouse clean organized and compliant with safety standards.
- Report damaged missing or incorrect inventory to the supervisor.
- Assist with stock transfers and returns.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified).
- Follow company policies health and safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and inventory systems).
- Good understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents and labels.
- Forklift certification is an advantage (where applicable).
