• Legal Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive legal strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives, including compliance, risk management, and litigation.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including those related to safety, environmental regulations, and intellectual property.
• Contract Management: Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and review of various contracts, agreements, and partnerships, including vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and joint ventures.
• Intellectual Property: Protect and manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and enforce these rights when necessary.
• Litigation Management: Manage and oversee any legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution processes, in collaboration with external counsel when required.

• Ethical and Compliance Programs: Develop and implement ethical and compliance programs to promote a culture of ethics and integrity within the organization.
• Budget Management: Manage the legal department budget, including forecasting, resource allocation, and expense control
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and compliance

Profile / Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with active membership in the relevant state bar association.
• Proven track record of success in a senior legal leadership role within the automobile industry or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of automotive industry regulations, laws, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and develop legal professionals.
